Nada Saghie is a sociologist specializing in qualitative research. Her DEA thesis was on "Ethnicity and Perception of Social Integration: Algerian Families in France", and her doctoral thesis is entitled "Social Capital in Immigration Context: A study on the Lebanese associations in Montreal".

Notably, Ms. Saghie has worked as lecturer for the course "Immigration, Ethnic Minorities and Inter-ethnic Relations" at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She has also been an interviewer for the "Empirical analysis of contract representations in couples" at the Institut National de Recherche Scientifique. Previously, she was a research assistant for the "Polyvalence Project: HIV prevention among persons with bisexual practises" at Concordia University. Most recently, Ms. Saghie was the coordinator of the Research Group on Political Islam and Arab Societies(GRIPSA) in the Department of Sociology at the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Through her studies and work experience, she has acquired solid experience in research and document analysis, literature reviews, designing of interview grids and conducting qualitative interviews, including data analysis and the production of research reports. Ms. Saghie is quadrilingual in French, English, Spanish and Arabic.

Ms. Saghie is a member of the Board of Directors of the Société québécoise d’évaluation de programme (www.sqep.ca).

A member of the Jolicoeur et Associés team since January 2010, Ms. Saghie's responsibilities include the following functions:
  • Document analysis;
  • Interview grid design;
  • Conducting qualitative interviews;
  • Data analysis;
  • Drafting research reports.
